So how does a ferry work?

A trip to the Puget Sound is not complete without a trip on one of the Washington State Ferries! From Shoreline it’s just a 10min drive to the Edmonds Ferry Terminal where you can board the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry. Enjoy a 30min sailing and then explore the town of Kingston and the Kitsap Peninsula! Walk-on passengers only pay the westbound fare, and return eastbound for free. Vehicles pay both ways, or take the long way back and drive around the sound! Either way, you’ll enjoy your time, just make sure to get an on-board coffee and head out on the deck for some sea air!
