Past Recipients

The 2016-2017 Artists in Schools Grants

The grants were awarded to PreK-12th grade teachers in the Shoreline School District and feature professional teaching artists working with students in the classroom. The projects took place during the 2016-2017 academic year with most taking place during the winter and spring.

Artists in Schools has been providing arts education throughout the district since 1993 with the majority of funding made possible through the Arts Council’s annual GALA of the Arts  with additional support from the Shoreline Public Schools Foundation, government and foundation grants and the community.

The Arts Council funded $18,000 in Artists in Schools grants with 20 projects reaching thousands of students in 11 schools and programs.
