Concerts in the Park – Different Drummer

August 9 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

| Free

Different Drummer is a multi-genre chamber ensemble comprised of violin, cello, double bass, and percussive tap dancing. The recipients of a 2015 Artist Support Grant from the Jack Straw Foundation, they have just released a self-titled album of traditional Irish, Scottish, Gypsy, Classical and Jazz repertoire. This unlikely ensemble presents an exhilarating visual and musical show. Brandon Vance (violin), Anna Doak (bass), and Gretchen Yanover (cello) are members of the Northwest Sinfonietta, the NW regions premier chamber orchestra. Their abilities fluidly cross genre boundaries with this project. Mark Mendonca (tap) has performed on Broadway, television and on concert stages around the world. The ensemble performs in a variety of combinations and settings. Learn more.

Bring a chair or blanket and come out to enjoy the show with your neighbors! Rain or shine, the show will go on!

Concerts in the Park are always free and are a program of the Arts Council. Support is provided by the City of Shoreline, City of Lake Forest Park,  4Culture, and through the generous support of the Arts Council members and donors: folks just like you!
