Call for Short Short Films: 2018 Shoreline Short Short Film Festival

The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council is currently accepting submissions for the 2018 Shoreline Short Short Film Festival! This festival aims to support emerging and developing filmmakers in Washington State and encourage appreciation for the art of filmmaking in our community.

Entries of “short short” films must be between 3 and 10 minutes and will be judged by an esteemed jury of filmmakers and film advocates, including Dan Eernissee of the Shoreline Film Office, Tony Doupe, SAG/AFTRA Actor and Shoreline Community College Film Department Professor, and Denise Walz, Co-President of PRR Biz. Accepted films will be screened on Saturday, March 3rd in the state-of-the-art Shoreline Community College Theater, and the best of the best will take home an impressive Golden Sasquatch Award.

FILM SUBMISSIONS DUE BY THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2018

 

AWARDS & PRIZES
Best in Show – $1000 to use towards your next film, with the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council named as an Executive Producer
Viewer’s Choice – $500 to use towards your next film
Best Comedy Short – TBD
Best Student Film/Rising Star Award – TBD

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All winners will also receive a Golden Sasquatch Award that is sure to be the envy of any Pacific Northwest filmmaker!

FILM SPECIFICATIONS
•Films must be 3-10 minutes in length, including credits
•Filmmakers must have proper license to all copyrighted music, video, and images included in the duration of their submission(s)
•Films must have been completed after January 1, 2016
•All non-English films must have English subtitles
Submissions must be made online via Film Freeway. DVDs and Blu-Rays will not be accepted
*FILMS MUST BE MADE BY FILMMAKERS WORKING IN WASHINGTON STATE*

SUBMISSION & ACCEPTANCE
•Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by February 21, 2018
•Filmmakers are welcome to submit more than one film
•Preference is given to filmmakers working in the Greater Seattle Area
•Still shots and/or excerpts from selected films may be used by the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council for publicity purposes
•All entries are final and may not be withdrawn from the festival once submitted
