The Shoreline Arts Festival provides two extraordinary days of visual arts, music, music, hands-on crafts and even a little theater.  Plus we have delicious food trucks. This creative community event, sponsored by the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council, is FREE and will be held at the Shoreline Center, 18560 1st Ave NE.  We are always looking for volunteers to help with this fabulous event, to sign up to volunteer click here!

ARTIST MARKETPLACE
Pursue paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and pretty much every other kind of art as you saunter through the sunshine and decide which of the masterpieces on offer will come home with you. Enrich your home with hand-made art, support local artists, and show the world where you stand as a curator of great taste. With over 80 participating artists, you’re sure to find something you’ll love.

LIVE MUSIC
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the music.  Let us entertain you with an array of musical performances spanning a wide range of styles. Check back here to see the line up of performers.

JURIED ART & PHOTOGRAPHY
The Juried Art Exhibit is one of the highlights of the Arts Festival. In past years the art exhibits have featured over 300 artworks from regional artists in 2D, 3D, and photography. We award over $2000 in cash prizes and merchandise prizes. Winners are announced at 10:30am on Saturday on the Showmobile stage . Each year, the Arts Council has also purchased work for our Portable Works Collection, which has grown to over 50 pieces. These works are shown at many public buildings in our community.

YOUTH ART EXHIBITION
Young minds = Creativity!  Be amazed by the talents in the Shoreline Arts Festival Youth Art Exhibit. Students in Pre-K through 12th grade submit their favorite 2-D and 3-D art works. Make sure to vote for your favorite piece for the People’s Choice award. Awards are given in four different age groups, and art for the Shoreline School District 2015-16 calendar is also selected from this exhibit of over 300 artworks. Come surround yourself in the fabulous creativity of our youth!

HANDS ON ART FOR KIDS & KIDS-AT-HEART
Try your hand at a Festival favorite with one or all of our Hands-On Art stations! This art is for kids and adults alike. Bring a little creativity and your imagination and enjoy making something beautiful. The famous Fish Prints are back for a sea of colorful aquatic productions. We’ll have several other Hands-on Art stations for you to explore this year. Come create with us!

MISSOULA CHILDREN’S THEATER
This year’s play is The Frog Prince Group auditions are held on June 20, 2016 at 3:45pm at the Shoreline Center – open to all students grades K-12.  

CULTURAL ROOMS
Explore the four cultural rooms that offer many fun hands-on activities and displays. Experience different cultures, sample foods, see art, listen to music, learn to dance. This year’s highlights include:
Explore Korean! (Korean Cultural Room) presented by the Korean American Historical Society
Philippine Cultural Room hosted by Filipiniana Arts and Culture
Arab Cultural Room hosted by Arab Center of Washington
Chinese Cultural Room hosted by Chinese Artist Group

FOOD TRUCK FOOD COURT
Get lunch, dinner, or just a sweet treat at this year’s Arts Festival Food Court. Conveniently located by the Showmobile Outdoor Stage the food court is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the festival atmosphere.

BEER GARDEN
New this year: After their famous Arts Festival Breakfast (8:30am-11:30am), the Shoreline Senior Center will be reopening its doors for festival goers to come in and enjoy cold beer, bar food, and lively entertainment at the first ever Festival Beer Garden. Performances of clog dancing, folk songs, hula, and more can be enjoyed from both the Beer Garden and the adjacent Family Room. Open 1pm to 6pm on Saturday and 1pm to 5pm on Sunday, it will be the perfect place to beat the summer heat!

The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to nurture all of the arts in the community through programs and events, arts education, advocacy, and support for artists and arts organizations.
